SUMMARY



  • Operates the day to day customer interaction in the retail facility.
  • Provides excellent customer service while accurately transacting sales of fuel and merchandise
  • Maintains clean and safe work premises in accordance with company standards


ESSENTIAL FUNCITIONS


  • Provides top quality service at all times and to every customer in accordance with Chevrons “Customer First” Program, company standards and instruction from management
  • Provides assistance to customers when needing help in fueling and in the convenience store.
  • Takes proper measures to preserve the safety of customers, employees, and company assets.
  • Conducts sales transactions accurately and quickly. Enters all transactions into register properly.
  • Maintains cheerful friendly attitude at all times
  • Accepts payment and accounts for all funds.
  • Performs daily station cleaning, stocking and merchandising as instructed by management.
  • Accomplishes shift breaks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Completes shift sheet accounting by documenting inventory count of designated products.
  • Follows company procedures regarding all activities
  • Secures all company funds in proper manner


ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS


  • Assuring store merchandise is fully stocked, clean, fronted, and faced at all times
  • Verifying merchandise coming in and out of store by Vendors & Customers in proper manner
  • Taking responsibility for inventory control and damaged merchandise handling.
  • Taking initiative to improve the overall operation of the location
  • Handles customer concerns in the proper manner


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Arithmetic skills to accomplish customers needs
  • Appropriate handling of Vendor situations


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


  • Frequent bending, twisting, and lifting at least 20 lbs in narrow spaces
  • Working unaccompanied, standing and without defined break periods.
  • Continued cleaning schedules
  • Ability to speak and have telephone interaction with office, customers, and Vendors.
  • Periodic exposure to all outdoor conditions at all times of the day
  • Ability to work for prolonged periods (1 hour or more) in walk-in coolers at 34 degrees
